Andres Martinez (any pronouns w/ respect) is a multi-hyphenated Latine Queer Boricua Artist from Philadelphia, PA. A collaborator, innovator, and risk-taker, who continues to tell authentic stories that are underrepresented on Stage, Tv, and Film. They seek not only to take up space, but create it. As a writer, Andres’ stories are one’s based in Latindad, telling the stories of how Tradition meets Identity throughout a generation.
Some of their favorite hobbies is exercising, listening to podcasts(Affirmative (Re)action, Spark File, See you in your nightmares, and more), hiking, and jamming to some Natalia Jimenez.
Andres was a recipient of the Marie F. Lusik award for Excellence in Theatre. They attended the National Theatre Institute’s Acting Intensive program at the Eugene O’Neill Theatre Center, where they were awarded the Miranda Family Scholarship and became a Miranda Family Fellow.
